“Along Church Street” – en plein air watercolor landscape painting

“Along Church Street” – 7″ x 11″

Sunlight and a little bit of color for an early spring scene. This painting was done plein air in the village of North Bennington, Vermont. 

I am attracted to scenes that remind us of seasonal transitions – especially those where light can be the main subject.  That was the case for this scene of an afternoon in early spring.

Signs of the coming spring and summer have emerged in some places, while others seem to hang onto winter.
