“Early Spring, McCullough Road” – 7″ x 11″

It’s hard to tell what season this is.  At first glance, the colors suggest fall, since we tend to associate light, bright yellow greens with spring.

In fact, even late fall has tired, golden greens in the fields.   It is only after a long winter and it’s snow cover that the fields turn golden brown.

In this scene, spring has arrived on the calendar, but not on the landscape – so we’re left with a palette of tans, russets and brown on nearly everything.

It is my great privilege to sell most of my paintings direct to my buyers – many of whom purchase online. Purchasing direct, online helps me because it saves the cost of  framing, transport, inventory, promotion and gallery commissions.
