Class Schedule:
Week 1 – February 20th – Basic Linear Perspective
One and Two Point Perspective; where and how to use them plus the ONE THING TO KNOW when applying Linear Perspective.
Week 2 – February 27th – Linear Perspective In Real Scenes
Simple perspective drawings teach us the basics but most scenes involve more complex perspective relationships. Learn how to see and manage more complex perspective scenes. We also cover Aerial Perspective this week.
Week 3 – March 6th – Perspective and Composition
Applied perspective helps support dynamic compositions. This class explores ways of applying perspective to support great compositions.
Week 4 – March 13th – Unusual Perspectives For Drama And Mood
Delve further into perspective ideas that add drama and mood to your paintings.

Four week online class that includes:
- Weekly pre-class assignments for extra preparation and learning
- Recorded weekly critique of pre-class assignments
- Online Class
- Access to recording of each Online Class (available for at least a month after the last class)
Can’t make Monday evening classes? The combination of pre-class assignments, critique and class recordings allow you to work at your own pace and own schedule! Many folks take classes this way!
MATERIALS
Use this Basic Watercolor Supplies and Materials list as a guide for basic materials.
These materials are also recommended:
- Tracing paper or vellum
- Some large pieces of drawing or bond paper – 11×17
- A large drafting triangle or straight edge
