MORNING –  The morning focuses on using preliminary sketches to simplify the the scene, create a solid composition and “lock the light”.  The instructor will demo the ideas and methods first thing. Then everyone will sketch scenes of interest, using ideas from the demo.

There will be a break for lunch around noon. You are free to pack a lunch or make a short walk to a deli in the village.

AFTERNOON –  The afternoon session begins with another instructor demo, this one focused on painting a scene using our sketches and direct observation.  After the demo, everyone is free to continue sketching and composing or jumping in to a more abitious painting project.
