One of the things I like best about painting en plein air is the chance to interpret a scene – adding, enhancing and even exaggerating when necessary. This scene was captivating because of the surprisingly rich color.   I hoped to capture the color as well as the rhythmic movement of the fields as the stretched off into the distance.
