It takes the winter sun some time to reach the hollows.

Between sunrise and the time sunlight reaches the low spots,  the snow covered landscape reflects the colors around it – mostly blue from the sky, but also warm colors from trees, brush and even a little of the growing light.   The effect is light, airy and calm. This scene was done on McCullough Road, in North Bennington, Vermont.  There is something about this spot that appeals to me every time I pass. This morning, I decided to stop.
