Morning : Depart to Assisi, Artists and Non-Artist 1 1/2 hour tour of the Basilica di San Francesco d'Assisi

Afternoon : Artists paint in Assisi’s Piazza del Comune and environs. Non-artists continue guided tour in Assisi

Evening : return to Spoleto; everyone is free to have dinner on their own

WEDNESDAY JUNE 12

Morning : artists have a studio class. Non-artists have an Italian lesson, other optional activities or tour town on their own.

Afternoon : artists paint “en plein air” in the Piazza del Mercato; non-artists free time

Evening : artist paint evening light en plein air (optional) ; non-artists are free

THURSDAY, JUNE 13 - BEVAGNA

Morning : travel to Bevagna for the Medieval Fair; artists paint scenes from the Fair; non artists explore and enjoy the Fair on their own.

Afternoon : artists paint scenes from the Fair; non-artists have guided group tour of Bevagna

Evening : Medieval Dinner in Bevagna (included)

FRIDAY, JUNE 14

Morning : artists have a studio class, non-artists free to tour Spoleto

Morning : Depart for Rome Fiumicino airport

Spoleto is a walled medieval hill town in central Italy's Umbria region. It has been Inhabited since prehistoric times. Lower parts of its wall are from the 6th century BC. The first Roman settlement, Spoletium, began in 241 BC and there are Roman remnants throughout the historic center.

The town is built on a hillside. Above the town is a medieval Rocca and spanning the deep gorge to one side of the Rocca is the most famous sight, Ponte delle Torri or Bridge of Towers.

Spoleto is known for history and un-spoiled Italian culture. Local restaurants feature fine Italian and Umbrian cuisine.

Cost

Final cost depends on two factors : single or double accommodation, and watercolor workshop participation or not.

Cost does not include airfare/transportation to and from Rome Fiumicino Airport.

Space reservations require a 50% NON-REFUNDABLE deposit due upon reservation.

REFUND POLICY

If you find you need to cancel, we’ll do our best to find a substitute for your spot. If successful, we’ll be able to refund 90% of your payments - including the deposit.

If there is no substitute for you spot the following schedule applies:

By March 1, 2024 - 25% of balance refunded

By April 15, 2024 - 15% of balance refunded

No refunds possible after April 15, 2024
